Audi MMI   MMI controls and displays   Car telephone kit  Setting up
To establish a connection between the car telephone kit and the mobile phone, Bluetooth and SIM card access in the mobile phone must be activated. Discoverability must be activated on your mobile phone Link.
The mobile phone must be bonded to your car telephone kit (this only has to be done once). This procedure involves various steps, depending on the mobile phone you are using. First the system searches for Bluetooth devices within range Link. For the connection between the mobile phone and the car telephone kit you can select one of the following profiles: SIM Access Profile Link and Hands-Free Profile Link. Please check which profiles are supported by your mobile phone.
Bonding Bluetooth devices
No other Bluetooth device may be connected to the car telephone kit during the bonding process. Before bonding a mobile phone, make sure it is not connected to any other Bluetooth device. Watch the display on your mobile phone and follow any instructions.
You can bond several mobile phones to the car telephone kit; however only one connection is active at a time.
Establishing and cancelling a Bluetooth connection
When you insert the ignition key, a Bluetooth connection is automatically established between the car telephone kit and your bonded mobile phone or handset*. For this, the handset* must be placed in the carrier*.
The maximum range of the Bluetooth connection is limited to the interior of the vehicle. The connection can be susceptible to interference with other electronic devices.
The Bluetooth connection between the car telephone kit and the mobile phone is automatically terminated when you remove the key from the ignition lock. The connection between the car telephone kit and the handset* is terminated when you switch off the car telephone kit.
Note
